Eric is a dedicated security subject matter expert with 22 years of security, intelligence, and critical infrastructure protection experience. He is a security advisor with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and provides subject matter expertise on all aspects of physical and cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and protective measures to public and private sector stakeholders. Prior to his position with the DHS, Eric served in the U.S. Air Force as an Intelligence Officer, serving with distinction on several unconventional security operations and becoming a highly decorated combat veteran.
Eric’s security credentials are further exemplified by his active participation as a member of ASIS International for over ten years. Additionally, he holds a Certified Protection Professional and Professional Certified Investigator certifications from ASIS International. Eric also is a licensed attorney in the State of Idaho and admitted to both state and federal courts, giving him a unique understanding of the nexus between security and the law and legal system.
Eric serves as an expert witness and litigation consultant for VREF. In this capacity, he leverages his comprehensive security expertise with his expertise as a licensed attorney to provide clients with a variety of litigation consulting services. These services include investigations, evaluations, education, and testimonial services on all matters related to physical and cybersecurity-related to airports, aircraft, and avionics.
